A ductless system is for a space that should not be forced onto the main air conditioner: a Jupiter Farms apartment, a closed porch, an Abacoa addition, a studio over a garage.

Good for one stubborn room
A garage apartment, a closed porch, or a room the main ducts never reached is a normal mini-split job. It is not a fix for a filmed central coil.

Clean the filters
Those little screens clog fast in this humidity. A unit that drips inside is often a dirty filter or a drain, not a dead compressor.

The line set needs a place to go
Tell us the wall and whether an HOA has to approve the outdoor unit. Abacoa side yards and condo walls are not the same install.
When a mini-split is the right tool
If the main system is sound and one room is the problem, adding tonnage to the whole house can make the rest of the rooms clammy. A mini-split keeps that load separate.
Line-set routes, condensate, and where the outdoor unit sits matter more near salt water. A wall in a courtyard is not a wall on a dock.
What it does not replace
A mini-split is not a substitute for a failed main heat pump, and it is not a fix for crushed ducts in the rest of the house. We say which problem you actually have.

Can a mini-split dry a whole Jupiter house?
It can handle the space it is sized for. A clammy main living area still needs the central system, the ducts, or a dehumidifier looked at first.
